Report: Update On Shinsuke Nakamura Following WWE NXT Return

What is going on with Shinsuke Nakamura?

Shinsuke Nakamura's future in WWE has become clearer.

WWE loaded up Tuesday's episode of NXT with main roster talents as the developmental brand went head-to-head with AEW Dynamite, with the likes of Finn Balor, Austin Theory, Rhea Ripley, Raquel Rodriguez, and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson all appearing on the show.

Shinsuke Nakamura also made his return to the Tuesday night brand, being revealed as Tony D'Angelo's chosen opponent for Channing 'Stacks' Lorenzo. The King of Strong Style ultimately picked up the win over the D'Angelo Family member.

Nakamura's return won't be one-and-done, though, and Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that the two-time NXT Champion is set to make additional appearances inside the WWE Performance Center.

Nakamura previously performed on NXT during his first year in WWE from April 2016 until April 2017, having high-profile matches with the likes of Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, and Bobby Roode. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion then moved to the main roster and he was most recently on SmackDown. He hadn't wrestled on TV since August, though.
