Report: Update On WWE's Plans For Edge

WWE could have a couple of major matches in store for Edge upon his return, according to reports from Fightful Select and WrestlingNews.co. 

Fightful had previously reported that Edge will be resuming his feud with Finn Balor, while WrestlingNews.co reported that he would be at the 2023 Royal Rumble and stated: "the Edge vs. Balor match will be a gimmick match and right now it's looking like a Hell in a Cell match."

Fightful Select also believes that Edge could be booked for the Elimination Chamber show on February 18, alongside fellow WWE Hall of Famer and wife Beth Phoenix - but they stress that these plans were as of November, and things could easily have changed since then. Their prospective opponents would apparently be Balor and Judgment Day stablemate Rhea Ripley. 

Edge last wrestled at WWE Extreme Rules 2022, losing to Balor in an "I Quit" Match. Phoenix last competed at the 2022 Royal Rumble, teaming with Edge to defeat The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag match.
