Report: Update On WWE SummerSlam 2020 Location

20 days until The Biggest Party Of The Summer...

The Biggest Party Of The Summer is drawing closer but WWE is still yet to announce a location for SummerSlam 2020. The pay-per-view was originally scheduled to take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts but WWE could not run the arena after Boston Mayor Marty Walsh suspended all large gatherings until September 7 because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Vince McMahon wants to avoid holding the show at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and the company has been looking for another location for the past week. Mike Johnson at PWInsider Elite recently reported one of the ideas being discussed was holding the event on a boat and a beach, while WrestleVotes previously revealed the wrestling behemoth was struggling to find an outdoor location in the North East of the United States.

WWE's luck has seemingly turned around as WrestleVotes provided an update earlier today and noted people within the company believe SummerSlam will be taking place away from the Performance Center in the North-Eastern part of the US.

They tweeted: "I've been told by 2 different sources over the weekend that the feeling is SummerSlam will be happening outside the PC. Seems like WWE found a location... Northeastern part of the US. No word on if fans will be in attendance or not just yet."
