Vince McMahon wielded his creative influence once again ahead of the June 19 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Fightful Select reported that McMahon made some "drastic changes" to Raw, including to the opening segment of the Monday night show. Seth Rollins was scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship in an open challenge to open the show but he was attacked by Finn Balor while basking in the crowd singing his entrance music.

Balor proceeded to batter Rollins around the ringside area, repeatedly escaping WWE security and Adam Pearce to deliver more offence. The Prince then didn't let up after the commercial break, attacking Rollins again from behind backstage. The two men are scheduled to face off for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank on Saturday, July 1 at The O2 in London, England.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon wanted to heat up Finn Balor in the opening segment of Raw. What McMahon added was also said to be better than what was originally planned for Raw.

"Vince really wanted this. The whole Seth Rollins angle with Finn Balor, I think he just wanted something big, something bigger for Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. I think just to heat up Finn Balor. To be fair, I know people who were there who told me, as far as the 30 minutes that Vince put in, it was better than the 30 minutes that was taken out, whatever that means. They worked really hard in building Seth and Finn Balor," Meltzer said.

McMahon has been the head of WWE creative since April 3, when WWE was sold to Endeavor. He has been making changes to Monday Night Raw either remotely or in person since the Raw after WrestleMania 39.
