Report: Wendy Choo Signed WWE Contract Extension In 2021

NXT star Wendy Choo has signed an extension with WWE

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE NXT 2.0 star Wendy Choo signed a contract extension last year.

Formerly known as Karen Q and then Mei Ying of the Tian Sha group, Choo originally signed with the company in early 2019.

The report states that Wendy was offered a new deal before returning to WWE television last year, but that it wasn't signed until much later. There is no word on the length of the new contract, but it is likely a multi-year deal.

Per the report, those backstage are happy with Choo's work. A higher-up noted that it was clear she would excel given the right opportunity, and the company has been pleased with her performances.

The report goes on to state that the Tian Sha members, as well as the overall storyline, were personal favourites of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. However, the programme was cancelled without explanation once The Game fell out of power following his cardiac event.

After the Ying character was nixed, Choo was introduced in November of last year and made her in-ring debut in January of this year.
