Report: Why IMPACT Wrestling Moved Bound For Glory Revealed

IMPACT Bound For Glory has changed nights

We are a little under two months away from IMPACT’s biggest show of the year, as Bound For Glory is set for Friday October 7 from Albany, New York.

For the first time in Bound For Glory history, the show will be held on a Friday, after earlier being announced for Saturday October 8, and a report from Fightful Select suggests that IMPACT moved the show as to not compete directly with WWE Extreme Rules - also set for October 8.

Originally Bound For Glory was set for Danbury, Connecticut, but when the date change was announced, IMPACT reportedly could not guarantee the building in Danforth, so made the decision to run Albany instead - their first return to Albany since 2012.

Even though Bound For Glory have avoided a clash with Extreme Rules, they still stand to face competition from the likes of WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage.

Bound For Glory 2021 saw Josh Alexander defeat Christian Cage for the IMPACT World Championship in the main event, before Moose ‘called his shot’ and defeated Alexander for the title as soon as he won it.
