Report: Why Triple H And Stephanie McMahon Have Been Selling Their WWE Shares Revealed

There was speculation that they could be looking to take a step back...

Over the past month, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have been selling large portions of their Class A common stock with WWE. The Game sold 39 percent of his Class A shares over two days on August 26 and August 27 for approximately $2,410,159.45. He sold 45,388 shares at $45.61 to raise $2,070,146.68 in cash on August 26. He then sold 7419 shares at $45.83 for a further $340,012.77. Stephanie McMahon followed suit on September 21 and sold 57,573 shares at a price of $39.18 per share to bring in $2,225,710.14 in cash.

In total, the couple became approximately $4,635,869.59 richer.

The high quantities of stock Triple H and Stephanie McMahon sold led to speculation that they could be looking to leave WWE. Inside The Ropes reported this isn't the case, however, and their sources reportedly said there was nothing unusual about the number of shares McMahon and Levesque sold. It's also believed they sold the stock to raise funds for family reasons, with most of the money being put aside to buy a new home.
