Report: WWE Adding Fastlane To PPV Calendar

Squeezing in one more show before WrestleMania...

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that WWE is adding Fastlane back to the pay-per-view calendar, making it the last major stop before WrestleMania 37.

The report lists Fastlane as taking place on Sunday, March 21.

Recently, WWE altered its pay-per-view calendar, changing the dates of both WrestleMania and Elimination Chamber, thus leaving more room for Fastlane.

Elimination Chamber was originally scheduled for February 28, but has been pushed ahead one week to February 21. WrestleMania 37 was to have been on March 28, but will now be held over two nights on April 10 and 11.

A PPV staple from 2015 through 2019, Fastlane was originally a replacement for Elimination Chamber in the month of February. The event was moved to March in 2017, after the reinstatement of Elimination Chamber as an annual event. Fastlane was not held in 2020.

The updated pay-per-view calendar now looks like so:

* January 31: Royal Rumble - Tropicana Field - St. Petersburg, FL

* February 21: Elimination Chamber - Tropicana Field - St. Petersburg, FL (assumed)

* March 21: Fastlane - Tropicana Field - St. Petersburg, FL (assumed)

* April 10 and 11: WrestleMania 37 - Raymond James Stadium - Tampa, FL
