Report: WWE Considering Cutting Major Names

More releases are reportedly on the way

WWE are reportedly planning even more cost-cutting measures that could see major names being let go from the promotion.

WWE have released a host of talent, officials, backstage hands and employees over the past couple of months in what has often been cited as 'budget-cuts' and in an effort to streamline their internal divisions.

Having let go a number of names from the main roster in April, cuts to NXT were reported last month before heavy redundancies were reported across WWE's digital, production and international offices.

Sadly, it appears the cost-cutting exercise is not over as Fightful Select says WWE are planning even more departures, which could be implemented as soon as this week.

Sources the outlet have spoken to suggest that some 'major names' are at risk of being released by the promotion, although WWE has changed their mind on certain individuals at the last minute in the past.

No names have been revealed or speculated about, out of respect for their position, but it seems WWE are preparing to allow more talent to depart from the roster relatively soon.
