Report: WWE Considering Moving 2 More NXT Stars To The Main Roster
It could have huge ramifications for NXT TakeOver: In Your House...
Jun 5, 2020
On last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Kurt Angle announced Matt Riddle would be joining the blue brand and making his in-ring debut very soon. Fightful reported soon after that more NXT Superstars will be moving to the main roster in the next month, and WWE is considering calling up a number of stars.
Dominik Dijakovic has already been pencilled in for the red brand, and reports also noted that the company is thinking about moving Chelsea Green to either Raw or SmackDown, which is the reason her partnership with Robert Stone was suddenly dropped on last week's episode of NXT.
Two more names being considered for call-ups have now been revealed as Raj Giri at WrestlingInc. reported WWE is thinking about moving The Velveteen Dream and Io Shirai to the main roster.
This news could have huge ramifications for NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Dream is set to go one on one with Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, and if he loses he can't challenge for the title again while the Leader of The Undisputed ERA is champion. Some thought this meant Dream would be winning the match, but whether this is the case is now up in the air. The news also throws The Genius Of The Sky's chances of winning the NXT Women's Championship into doubt.
