Report: WWE Hall Of Famer Headed To St. Louis Ahead Of WWE Royal Rumble

Is a return on the cards?

A WWE Hall Of Famer is reportedly headed to St. Louis, Missouri ahead of Saturday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

According to Fightful Select, Kurt Angle is set to be in the gateway to the west later this week. Exact plans for The Wrestling Machine are currently unknown, although Fightful noted WWE are holding community and press events ahead of the pay-per-view, as well as filming content, and Angle is expected to be involved. There have also reportedly been discussions about Angle returning as an on-screen character on WWE TV.

Angle is a part of Conrad Thompson's AdFreeShows.com, who are holding live shows in St. Louis, but the WWE Hall Of Famer being in the area isn't related to those events.

Angle hasn't performed in WWE since he retired at WrestleMania 35. He worked for the company as a backstage producer following his retirement but he was released in April of 2020.

The Olympic gold medallist appeared on WWE TV following his release as a special guest referee for Riddle and Timothy Thatcher's Fight Pit Match in NXT and he later turned down managing Riddle.

Along with Kurt Angle, The Undertaker will be in St. Louis ahead of the Royal Rumble. He is set to be backstage at the pay-per-view due to his wife Michelle McCool's participation in the Women's Rumble.
