Report: WWE Have Big Plans For Reunited Faction

A popular faction could be getting a push on WWE TV

A popular faction reformed on the May 8 edition of Monday Night Raw and it was revealed in a backstage segment that The Way had reunited on the main roster, with Johnny Gargano, Dexter Lumis, Candice LeRae, and Indi Hartwell in the stable.

The two married couples were shown together at Raw after they were approached by Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville to sign a petition. Green and Deville eventually walked away, at which point Gargano reiterated to the group that someone was coming back soon and it would be great for them. LeRae disagreed with her husband's assessment, however.

While he was not mentioned by name, many assumed Gargano was referring to his former tag team partner/rival Tommaso Ciampa. The two-time NXT Champion has been out of action since September 2022 and he underwent hip labrum surgery one month later. There have reportedly been discussions within WWE about reforming DIY when Ciampa returns from injury.

The Way's reunion came together after Indi Hartwell was drafted to Monday Night Raw during the latest WWE Draft. The faction will reportedly be on the receiving end of a push, with WRKD Wrestling reporting that WWE have "big plans" for Lumis, Gargano, Hartwell, and LeRae.

"As promised last week, The Way have officially reunited on tonight's #WWERaw. Triple H and company have big plans for all of those involved," WRKD Wrestling tweeted.

The Way were previously a popular faction on NXT from December 2020 until Johnny Gargano left WWE in December 2021. Gargano and LeRae reunited with Lumis on WWE TV in late 2022.
