Report: WWE "High" On NXT's Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca is impressing people backstage

Sol Ruca has a lot to smile about, after reportedly impressing backstage WWE officials.

Speaking on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the company are high on Ruca (while criticising some of her prospective opponents), saying:

"That may not be…they're really high on Solo Ruca for obvious reasons. Zoey Stark is probably the best opponent to put her in there with, and Elektra Lopez is probably near the bottom of the list of opponents to put her in there with. I guess Lash Legend might be worse".

The 23-year-old defeated Lopez on last night's edition of NXT.

Ruca (real name Calyx Hampton) signed with WWE last March. She made her in-ring debut in June and wrestled on NXT Level Up, before debuting on the weekly NXT TV show in September. She has continued to appear on both shows since.

Fans have also taken to social media to gush about the former gymnast's athleticism, in particular her innovative Sol Snatcher finisher, where she performs an inverted front flip from the middle turnbuckle while catching her opponent in a cutter.
