After six years away from the company, Cody Rhodes re-signed with WWE a few weeks ago and the two-time TNT Champion will reportedly re-debut at WrestleMania 38 and face Seth Rollins at The Show Of Shows.

If Cody will retain his American Nightmare persona when he makes his WWE return remains to be seen but WrestleVotes noted higher-ups in the company are pushing for his presentation to be exactly how it was in All Elite Wrestling.

"Two very high profile people were adamant to the boss that if (when) Cody Rhodes arrives, he should be exactly what he was in AEW. Presentation, ring gear, theme music, pyro, etc. The visual impact of the 'American Nightmare' crossing the line is significant here," WrestleVotes tweeted.

Cody created his American Nightmare gimmick following his WWE departure in 2016 and he soon established himself as one of the biggest stars in the industry, going on to found AEW with Kenny Omega, Tony Khan, The Young Bucks and Brandi Rhodes in January 2019.

Cody and Brandi departed AEW last month, though, after they were unable to agree to terms on a new deal.
