Report: WWE Interested In AEW's Wardlow?

‘Mr. Mayhem’ takes on CM Punk tonight in the biggest match of his career

AEW’s Wardlow has been quietly building a name for himself since debuting for the company in 2019, with his recent powerbomb filled squash matches getting him over with the AEW crowd.

Now, ahead of his high profile match against CM Punk on tonight’s edition of AEW: Dynamite, Wardlow’s stock has never been higher, and a Tweet from Wrestlevotes suggests that WWE are very aware of the big man’s potential:

“With his biggest match to date happening later tonight, I can confirm, without hesitation, that WWE will be extremely interested in luring Wardlow away from AEW when his contract is due. There are several people within World Wrestling Entertainment that LOVE his potential.”

Indeed, Wardlow definitely has that ‘WWE look’, and at just 33 years old with tons of TV wrestling experience under his belt, he would certainly be an attractive prospect.

There is no word on when Wardlow’s AEW contract runs until, but it seems as though a bidding war could be on the horizon when it’s up for renewal.
