Report: WWE Money In The Bank 2023 Buys Up From Last Year

WWE Money in the Bank 2023 number up against 2022 edition

WWE recently returned to the UK, with Money in the Bank 2023 in London’s O2 Arena the first major ‘premium live event’ from the English capital since SummerSlam 1992.

For years it had been claimed that WWE were not keen on running major internationally broadcast PPV and PLE shows from the UK due to the time difference, with Britain five hours ahead of the East coast, and eight hours ahead of the West.

However, it seems like an earlier start time for American audiences didn’t harm Money in the Bank’s buys, with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that MITB 2023 was up 82% in traditional pay per view buys against 2022’s edition, with total PPV buys believed to be around the 17,600 mark.

The report also claims that Money in the Bank ‘blew everything away’ post-WrestleMania 39.

Money in the Bank was the second large scale show in the UK in two years, with 2022’s Clash at the Castle in Cardiff the first major show on British soil in 30 years.
