Report: WWE NXT Considering Full Sail University Return

Talks are underway about a possible NXT move back to Full Sail University

WWE NXT could be set to return to their former home.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have at least been talks about WWE returning to Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. If WWE will return to the university ultimately remains to be seen, though.

WWE began to tape NXT at Full Sail back in 2012 and the school also hosted the Cruiserweight Classic, Mae Young Classic and Tough Enough, among other shows.

WWE and Full Sail had an amicable split in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, though, and NXT production was moved to the WWE Performance Center from October of that year beginning with NXT TakeOver 31.

The original WWE-Full Sail partnership was beneficial for the university as students helped out with the developmental brand's production, while a portion of ticket sales and merchandise were put towards a scholarship fund.

NXT has aired from the WWE Performance Center since the move from Full Sail with the exception of NXT Stand & Deliver over WrestleMania 38 weekend.
