WWE is reportedly planning a huge, first-time ever match between Seth Rollins and Edge at this year's SummerSlam.
WWE is rumoured to be making SummerSlam 2021 a 'WrestleMania-esque' card as the promotion seeks to turn the Biggest Party Of The Summer into their biggest event of the year.
With SummerSlam emanating from Las Vegas on Saturday 21 August, WWE is planning on bringing out as many big guns as possible and, according to WrestleVotes, a massive singles match is being considered to help boost the SmackDown side.
The report indicates that WWE plans on having a returning Edge compete against Seth Rollins on the show.
It was recently reported that WWE has plans for Edge to wrestle at SummerSlam, in a babyface role, and the Rated-R Superstar has been advertised for a return to the blue brand on Friday 16 July - the same show that WWE welcomes a live audience back for the first time.
Edge hasn't been seen on WWE television since the main event of WrestleMania 37, losing to Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat Match for the Universal Championship in a bout that also included Daniel Bryan.
Edge and Rollins have history. The Messiah attacked Edge back in 2014, when he was still retired, in order to force John Cena to reinstate The Authority.
