Report: WWE Planning For Aleister Black's Return To TV

The company have reportedly starting filming vignettes

WWE are reportedly in the process of shooting vignettes with Aleister Black ahead of a return to television.

Black has not been seen on WWE programming since his involvement in a feud with Kevin Owens, which culminated in defeat for 'The Fighting Man From Amsterdam' on the October 12, 2020 episode of Raw.

The former NXT Champion was then drafted to Smackdown but has not been utilised by the promotion since.

According to PWInsider, however, that looks set to change, with WWE filming with Black in the past week ahead of his return on television.

The reports suggest that the series of vignettes are loosely based on Black's childhood, which would therefore suggest a minor character change for the 35-year-old. While there is no word on when these are set to begin airing, it is expected to be sooner rather than later.

Black enjoyed a successful run in NXT following his debut in with the company in 2017 but has struggled for opportunities since a move to the main roster two years later.
