Report: WWE Planning To Make Dominik Mysterio A Star

Big plans are in place for Dominik Mysterio.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dominik has impressed "everyone" within WWE and the company believes his feud with Rey Mysterio is the hottest angle on TV outside of The Bloodline's programmes heading into WrestleMania 39. Chief Content Officer Triple H is personally "very high" on Dominik and there are long-term plans to make Mysterio a star. 

Dominik is set to face his father Rey Mysterio on night one of WrestleMania 39 on Saturday, April 1. Meltzer further noted the feud between Rey and Dominik isn't a "one-and-done" and Rey knows the goal of the programme is to make his son a star. The goal for WrestleMania 39, in particular, is to "make Dominik a superstar heel."

How WWE will establish Dominik as a star at WrestleMania is unclear but speculation has suggested he could defeat his father at the Showcase of the Immortals. On the other hand, WWE could have Rey win their first match before Dominik lays out his father following the contest.

Dominik has established himself as a featured performer on WWE TV since turning on his father and joining the Judgment Day in September 2022.
