"Some rewrites" are expected to take place ahead of tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw from Detroit, Michigan, according to a new report.

Similar to the Premier League and the NFL, WWE is currently suffering from a COVID-19 outbreak due to the omicron variant and several Superstars, including the likes of Roman Reigns, Big E, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch were absent from the Sunday, December 26 house shows in New York City and Tampa, Florida. Talent pulled from the shows have either tested positive for COVID-19 or were kept off the events as a precautionary measure ahead of the Day 1 pay-per-view.

Due to the outbreak, "some rewrites" will take place ahead of tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw, according to PWInsider, as several talents will be unable to appear at the show in Detroit.

WWE's producers have also reportedly been "hit hard" by COVID-19 and only half of Raw's backstage agents will be in Detroit for the December 27 episode. This inevitably means the producers backstage are in for an "extra-long day" due to the added workload.

Currently advertised for Raw is Omos vs. AJ Styles, Otis vs. Randy Orton, The Street Profits vs. The Mysterios in the final of the RK-Bro-Nament, Finn Balor vs. Austin Theory, and The Miz and Maryse will renew their wedding vows.
