Report: WWE Star Kalisto On The Sidelines With Separated Shoulder

No timescale on his return...

Back on January 17, reports indicated that WWE Star Kalisto had signed a new contract with the company. His previous deal was set to expire in early 2020, but he decided to re-sign as he felt he still had a lot left to accomplish in WWE.

The former United States Champion's new deal has begun with him on the sidelines, however, as Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet reported yesterday that Kalisto suffered a separated shoulder on December 30. There is currently no timescale as to when he will return to the ring.

He reportedly suffered the injury during a live event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in a match against The Revival. During the bout, the luchador landed awkwardly on his shoulder which caused the referee to put up the "X" sign. Kalisto was then checked out backstage where they confirmed the injury.

For the avoidance of doubt, Satin wrote: "Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Kalisto has been out of action as of late due to injury.

"According to sources, the Lucha House Party member suffered a shoulder separation that does not require surgery at this time. It’s unclear, however, how long he’ll be unable to wrestle.

"While we don’t have official confirmation on when the injury occurred, it would appear as though it happened during a live event at the Staples Center in December. The wrestler’s match that night against The Revival ended abruptly and Kalisto was checked out by WWE’s medical team afterward."
