He will be out for some time...

On last week's edition of Raw, The Viking Raiders teamed with Ricochet and Apollo Crews against The Hurt Business. Both teams battled back and forth but Ivar suffered an injury after he hit a Tope Suicida onto three opponents. The Viking Raider immediately threw up the "X" sign and he could be seen receiving medical assistance during the finish of the match.
WWE later announced Ivar suffered a cervical injury and is expected to make a full recovery. It later emerged the injury was worse than originally feared, however, as Dave Meltzer reported the former Raw and NXT Tag Team Champion may need surgery.
Ivar does indeed require neck surgery and Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that the WWE Superstar will go under the knife later on today in Birmingham, Alabama.
Alvarez said: "As it turns out, it's serious and tomorrow, Birmingham, he will be getting neck surgery… He had been wrestling for a long time. According to Dave, he'd had neck issues for a while now."
How long Ivar will be out of action for is currently unknown, but Meltzer later added on Wrestling Observer Radio that wrestlers are often on the shelf for approximately a year following neck surgery.
