Report: WWE Suspends Joe Coffey, Fires Referees Joel Allen And Chris Roberts

Following abuse allegations against them...

Over the past two weeks, brave men and women have shared their stories of surviving abuse in the British professional wrestling scene and beyond through #SpeakingOut.

Multiple stories included talent associated with NXT UK including Superstar Joe Coffey and referees Joel Allen and Chris Roberts. Retired wrestler Sierra Loxton shared a story from an anonymous female wrestler who said Coffey sexually abused her and sent unsolicited pictures of his genitals. Independent Wrestler Nadia Sapphire also shared her story and said Chris Roberts groomed her when she was 15. Joel Allen, who also owns SPLX Apparel, appeared in a video with David Starr and made distasteful comments about women.

Following the allegations, Dave Meltzer reported on F4W Online that Joe Coffey has been suspended by WWE and Joel Allen and Chris Roberts have been fired.

WWE has previously taken action against Superstars accused of abuse as Jack Gallagher, Travis Banks and Ligero were released in recent weeks. The company is taking all allegations of abuse very seriously and Mike Johnson at PWInsider noted WWE will be taking an "extremely hard-line stance" going forward.
