Report: WWE Talent Expected To Undergo Name Change

Another WWE name change is coming

WWE could be reversing another name change.

While it has not been made official on WWE.com, Angel noted last week that he was known as Angel Garza once again, reversing the name-shortening that took place back in November of 2021.

His tag team partner Humberto also looks set to receive the same treatment with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it is believed within WWE that Humberto will regain his 'Carrillo' surname.

WWE opted to shorten Angel and Humberto's in-ring names shortly after they formed their Los Lotharios tag team. They have not wrestled on TV since a two-minute loss to The Usos on the July 8 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. They were in action at the WrestleMania 39 Launch Party, though, losing to The Street Profits in a nine-minute match.

Angel and Humberto's initial name change came after a Vince McMahon edict to prevent talent from having family names or names they used on the independent wrestling scene as part of their WWE monikers.
