WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is fast approaching, with current plans still going ahead despite growing safety concerns and travel recommendations dissuading US citizens from traveling to Saudi Arabia due to risks and threats posed to US interests. A report emerged over the last week that no WWE talents had refused to work the upcoming show, though this has prompted several wrestlers to speak out.
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, multiple “top” WWE stars reached out in the aftermath of this report to reveal that they didn’t want to be booked on the PLE, with some even expressing their concerns directly in WWE about the upcoming show. It is noted that WWE have worked to reassure talent that safety precautions were a priority for the trip.
The report goes on to explain some of the changes WWE have made to this event, with a smaller crew being taken by the company and less roster members also making the journey. It revealed this week that Crown Jewel was changing venues as a move to increase the safety of the event, with TKO’s Mark Shapiro remarking that there would be no hesitation to cancel the PLE if things escalated.
