Report: WWE Turns Becky Lynch Heel

WWE wants you to boo The Man

Becky Lynch is a babyface no more.

Lynch has arguably been WWE's most popular babyface over the last three years, ever since she turned on Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2018 and adopted her 'The Man' persona soon after. The new SmackDown Women's Champion won't be a babyface anymore, though, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, and multiple sources have confirmed Lynch is now a heel.

WWE's plan going forward is to position Lynch as the top heel on Friday Night SmackDown and she will feud with Bianca Belair.

Lynch's heel turn comes shortly after she returned to WWE TV at SummerSlam on August 21. Lynch had been off TV for over a year to have her first child, but she was revealed as Bianca Belair's surprise opponent for The Biggest Party Of The Summer.

Lynch's return has come under criticism, though, especially since The Man pinned Belair in 25 seconds to win the SmackDown Women's Championship, a move that many believe has seriously damaged The EST of WWE.
