Report: WWE Want 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin To Be A "Meaningful Part" Of WrestleMania 38
A Stone Cold return
A certain Texas Rattlesnake could be set to return to WWE TV for WrestleMania 38.
The 2022 edition of The Showcase Of The Immortals will take place on April 2 and April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and with the event taking place in 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's home state, WWE are keen to make the Hall Of Famer a "meaningful part" of WrestleMania, according to WrestleVotes.
"Talked to a few different source this weekend & heard the same thing, WWE is very interested in having Steve Austin as a part of WrestleMania this year in Dallas. Not in a wrestling role, but a meaningful part of the event outside of just appearing. Up to creative at this point," WrestleVotes tweeted.
Austin has previously been featured in TV commercials advertising WrestleMania 38. He also appeared at WrestleMania 32, which took place at AT&T Stadium, and he, Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley laid out The New Day after Austin initially threatened to dance.
While he hasn't wrestled since 2003, 'Stone Cold' remains a regular presence on WWE programming through his 'Broken Skull Sessions' series on the WWE Network where he interviews past and current WWE stars.
