Several airstrikes have been launched against Saudi Arabia over the past week but WWE have reportedly yet to hold any talks about moving their upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view from the country's capital city of Riyadh.

PWInsider has reported that WWE have not had any conversations about moving Crown Jewel, with the company in regular contact with Saudi Arabia and a private security firm that the organisation contracts when they travel to the Middle East. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported, however, that while WWE are still currently planning to move forward with holding Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, the company has a back-up city in the United States on the table.

Crown Jewel is currently scheduled for November 7 and the show was promoted heavily as taking place in Saudi Arabia on the October 12 episode of Monday Night Raw. Crown Jewel will feature champion vs. champion matches for the WWE Crown Jewel titles in Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn and Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green.

Several airstrikes have been carried out by the Iran-backed Houthis against Saudi Arabia over the past week, including multiple attacks on Riyadh airport which has seen casualties extend into the double digits.

Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Alalshikh noted on social media following the airstrikes that Canelo Alvarez still planned to hold his boxing match on October 31 in Riyadh, with Alalshikh writing that "hard times reveal true friends." WWE are reportedly aware those comments were partly directed at them.

The current travel advisory from the United States Department of State for Saudi Arabia recommends US citizens reconsider travel to KSA.
