Rey Mysterio sustained a legitimate injury on Monday's edition of Raw from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Mysterio was in action on the show in a singles match against Austin Theory, ultimately losing to Theory after an 11-minute contest. Mysterio was then not involved in the post-match beatdown during which The Vision took out Dragon Lee and Penta, with Rey instead remaining on the apron and favouring his shoulder as the referee held up the 'X' sign, which is used to signal a legitimate issue.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that Mysterio was indeed legitimately injured during the match with Theory.

Mysterio has been struck by the injury bug over the past year, missing several months of action from April to November 2025 due to a torn groin he suffered on the go-home episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 41.

This is the second injury issue on Raw in as many weeks. There was an injury scare on last week's show as Je'Von Evans was suspected to have suffered a concussion, but the 21-year-old was back on Raw on January 26 to declare for the Royal Rumble.
