Rey Mysterio Wants A WWE PLE In Mexico
Rey Mysterio wants WWE to head to Mexico in the next three years
Over the last couple of years, WWE has been making rounds in the international market, with big premium live events being hosted in different countries instead of just remaining in North America. The likes of the UK, France, Saudi Arabia and Australia have hosted PLEs, and later this year WWE will also venture to Germany, in addition to another trip to the UK for Clash At The Castle, which takes place in Glasgow, Scotland.
When speaking Graham ‘GSM’ Matthews of Bleacher Report, WWE Hall Of Famer Rey Mysterio said that he wanted WWE’s international PLE expansion to reach Mexico, and perhaps even in the enormous Estadio Azteca.
"I'm hoping that it happens in the next three years. I think my people deserve something as good as a PLE. I'm truly hoping. We have a huge stadium over there, Estadio Azteca, which I believe is being remodeled this year. I think the fans would go crazy. Mexico has always been an incredible crowd for wrestling and what better than to pay it off with WWE coming over there and giving them something as special as a PLE?"
