The term “never say never” is used all the time in professional wrestling, especially when it comes to retirement. Ric Flair has been central to the whole “never say never” statement for years, coming out of retirement more than once, mostly recently for the disastrous “Ric Flair’s Last Match” show, where the 70-plus year old Flair passed out multiple times during his match, and also pretended to have a heart attack.

Flair has often teased a return to the ring ever since, sharing videos of his workouts, taking bumps, and more. In news that will come as a huge relief to many fans (and to his family too), Flair has revealed that he has no plans for another match. During a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest, Flair revealed that he’d been contacted for another match, being offered a chance to face Ricky Morton. Flair did say that a match would motivate him to stay in the gym, though he soon took to social media to firmly shut down the idea of a return to the ring.

“First, Let Me Clear Something Up! I Will Never Wrestle Again. I’m Heading To Flair Country. Charleston, South Carolina Get Ready! The Nature Boy And @FitermanSports Are Taking Over @SpookyEmpire This Weekend! If You Want To Be The Best, You Gotta Be With The Best! Come See Me Saturday & Sunday!”

If you, for some absurd reason, wanted another Flair match, he’ll probably backtrack next week and say he’s open to wrestling again, so don’t worry.
