Ric Flair Wanted To Dive To The Outside In His Last Match

The dive was nixed by Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair nixed one of her father Ric Flair's ideas for his final match, Marc Raimondi of ESPN has revealed.

While Flair has already said he plans to come off the top rope in his last match, the 16-time world champion also wanted to do a dive from the top rope to the outside but Charlotte quickly shut him down.

"A lot of our men and women in all companies miss those all the time. I was like, 'No, not needed, not necessary. Wasn't necessary in your prime, isn't necessary now. So, no,'" Charlotte said.

Flair was not known for his high-flying ability during his full-time in-ring career.

The Nature Boy will have his final bow at Ric Flair's Last Match on Sunday, July 31 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The show will air live on FITE as part of Starrcast V.

Flair is scheduled to team with son-in-law Andrade El Idolo in his final match against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, who has been training with Flair for his in-ring return in recent months.

July 31 will be Flair's first match since 2011 when he lost to Sting on a September episode of IMPACT in TNA Wrestling.
