Ricochet raising the AEW National Title

Ricochet has been heavily criticised on social media after he told a fan critical of his acting abilities that he was glad they suffered from multiple sclerosis (MS).

After a fan post following the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, Ricochet wrote, "I'm glad you got MS." The former AEW National Champion initially looked to defend himself on X/Twitter, writing later on Monday, March 16: "Its soooo hilarious that the amount of little b*tches who has tweeted and wished harm on me, who has wished even death, said some of the most VILE things to me AND my wife. People who try and make fun of me EVERYDAY. But those same little b*tches can't take it when I do it back to people. F*cking p*ssies, everywhere."

Ricochet continued to retweet posts defending his comments into March 17 before he eventually apologised on Tuesday evening.

"I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are affected by MS. She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize. Moving forward I'll do better," Ricochet (real name Trevor Mann) wrote.

Ricochet may be in trouble with his employer, All Elite Wrestling, following his posts. In a comment on the WON/F4W message board about Ricochet's posts, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer noted Ricochet will be hoping he is still employed by the end of the week.

"If he's crossing his fingers, it's hoping he's still employed by the end of the week," Alvarez wrote.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease which affects the brain and spinal cord. It can cause muscle weakness, vision changes, numbness, and memory issues. There is no cure, but treatment can slow the disease's progress.
