Riddle: Randy Orton Tried To Explain What A Rub Is To Me Following WWE Raw Segment With John Cena

Riddle has revealed that Randy Orton tried to explain to him what 'the rub' is after John Cena did a promo with him following the 16-time World Champion's return to WWE Raw last month. 

Having shockingly made his WWE comeback at Money In The Bank the night before, Cena showed up on Raw the next evening and declared his intentions to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2021.

Riddle then made his way down to the ring and got into a 'bro-off' with Cena, eliciting a loud response from the live audience.

Riddle has now spoken about how his RK-Bro tag-team partner, Orton, tried to make it clear to him how big that moment was, with Cena attempting to get Riddle over with the crowd.

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Riddle said: “As Randy would say, because after John did that little promo with me on the mic when we bro’d off to each other, Randy hit me up and he goes, ‘I don’t know if you know this, kid, but John Cena just gave you the rub.' 

"And I was like, ‘Yeah, I know what the rub is, Randy.' Randy talks to me like I don’t know what wrestling is sometimes. I have to be like, ‘Randy, I’ve wrestled on the indies, I’ve been in the WWE a couple of years. Not at your level, for sure, Randy, but I kind of know what I’m doing. I know what the rub is. I know what Cena did right there. We’re cool, I got it.’ 

"But yeah, I was very excited about that."
