Robert Roode's WWE NXT In-Ring Return Set For March 1

He's back!

The Glorious One has returned to WWE NXT.

Five years on from his last appearance on the developmental brand, Robert Roode appeared on Tuesday's edition of NXT.

Roode was initially disguised as a camera operator on the show and the former NXT Champion helped his tag team partner Dolph Ziggler defeat Tommaso Ciampa in a number one contender's match, hitting The Blackheart from behind with his camera.

The Dirty Dawgs then proceeded to beat down Ciampa until NXT Champion Bron Breakker made the save to end Tuesday's show.

As a result of Breakker's save, a tag team match has been booked for next week's NXT and Roode will make his NXT in-ring return when he teams with Ziggler against Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa.

Also set for the March 1 show is an NXT North American Title match between champion Carmelo Hayes and Pete Dunne. The former WALTER will go one-on-one with Solo Sikoa next week too.

Gunther has been a regular presence on the developmental brand since January 2022.
