ROH Final Battle 2023 Main Event Revealed

The main event of ROH Final Battle 2023 has been made official.

Ring of Honor will present their biggest show of the year from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on Friday, December 15. It was revealed during Thursday night's edition of ROH TV that Final Battle will be main evented by Athena vs. Billie Starkz for the ROH Women's World Championship. This is the second ROH pay-per-view in a row that Athena has main evented, having defended the ROH Women's World Title against Willow Nightingale in the final match of Death Before Dishonor earlier this year. 

Athena and Billie Starkz have been linked on ROH TV for months, with Starkz serving as Athena's "minion in training." Their issues came to a head on November 30, though, as Starkz snapped on Athena. This led to the title match being made official for Final Battle. 

Other matches set for Final Battle include Keith Lee vs. Shane Taylor, Ethan Page vs. Tony Nese in an "I Quit" Match, and a Survival of the Fittest Match for the vacant ROH World Television Championship. Bryan Danielson and Blackpool Combat Club have also challenged FTR and Mark Briscoe to a Trios Match but it has yet to be made official. 

Ticket sales have been poor for Final Battle. The latest WrestleTix update revealed only 996 tickets have been distributed for the show.
