The era of Honor has returned, with Ring of Honor holding their first set of TV tapings of the Tony Khan era in Orlando’s Universal Studios.
Hosting shows on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26, ROH have taped several episodes worth of content, with full taping results from the Sunday tapings down below.
- SPOILERS AHEAD -
With ROH Supercard of Honor set for March 31, it seems like ROH have started building potential matches for the PPV, with a tag bout between Top Flight and The Kingdom looking possible for the show. Dante Martin defeated The Kingdom’s Mike Bennett at the tapings, but ate a beatdown from Matt Taven for his troubles, with the former ROH World Tag Team Champions embarrassed by the young high-flyers at Final Battle in December 2022.
Issues between Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castagnoli progressed, when Kingston knocked a drink onto Claudio as the ROH World Champion observed his old rival in singles action against JVS-K. Claudio was also in action at the tapings, defeating Willie Mack in a Proving Ground Match - meaning if Mack would have won or drawn with the champ then he’d be guaranteed a title shot within 60 days, an old ROH staple.
ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Embassy defeated former champions Dalton Castle and The Boys then laid a beating on the three, until Blake Christian, AR Fox, and Gran Metalik ran them off. Later in the same tapings, The Embassy would beat down Fox, Christian, and Metalik after their victory against Ari Daivari, Slim J, and JVS-K, whilst the trio would get their revenge on The Embassy after a Brian Cage singles victory over Tony Deppen.
In the session’s main event, ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe beat Cheeseburger in singles action, but was chased off by Mark Briscoe, with the ‘Sussex County Chicken’ declaring he would become the next ROH TV Champion.
