ROH Women’s Title Match Added To Death Before Dishonor 2023

The ROH Women’s Title will be on the line at Death Before Dishonor 2023

We are several days away from Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor 2023, and the card is slowly starting to take shape, with ROH confirming that the ROH Women’s World Championship will be contested on the show.

ROH President Tony Khan announced that Athena will put the title on the line against Willow Nightingale, with Nightingale’s win over the ‘Fallen Goddess’ in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament semi-final on July 14 making her the number one contender for the belt.

Athena had earlier remarked that Nightingale may receive a shot at the gold if she was victorious in their Owen semi-final match. Nightingale is currently on a hot streak across AEW and ROH, but Athena has successfully defended the title against the ‘Babe With the Power’ before, triumphing on an episode of ROH TV in February. With Nightingale's victory on Rampage, the two are now currently tied at one apiece in career singles wins against each other.

Update card for Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor, July 21 2023:

  • Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. TBA - ROH World Championship
  • Athena (c) vs. Willow Nightingale - ROH Women’s Championship
  • Samoa Joe (c) vs. Dalton Castle or Shane Taylor - ROH World Television Championship
  • Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. Daniel Garcia - ROH PURE Championship
