ROH World Title Match Set For GCW's The Wrld
Jonathan Gresham puts the title on the line at the Hammerstein Ballroom
ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham will be in action at GCW’s historic The Wrld show, putting the title on the line against Blake Christian.
The first match announced for the show, Gresham vs. Christian will be one of several ROH Title defences to take place outside of Ring of Honor during their self imposed hiatus, with Gresham recently retaining the gold against AJ Gray at GCW Blood on the Hills, and will further take the title to his own TERMINUS promotion, should he get past Christian.
The match was announced by GCW themselves, who posted a video to Twitter of Christian saying “that this was not about the ROH title, it’s about being accepted as one of the best in the world. And when he wins the championship from Gresham, everyone will have no choice but to accept him as among the best in the world.”
GCW The Wrld is set to be GCW’s debut at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, former stomping ground of ECW and ROH.
