Rohit Raju Debuts At AEW Dark Tapings

Raju to AEW?

A former X-Division Champion made his All Elite Wrestling debut during Saturday's Dark tapings from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Rohit Raju - also known as Hakim Zane - competed during the second taping session, losing to Captain Shawn Dean. When the match will air on YouTube is currently unknown.

Raju had previously been a regular performer in IMPACT Wrestling but he announced on January 3, 2022, that his contract with the promotion had expired and he was officially a free agent.

Zane initially debuted in IMPACT in mid-2017 and he became a regular in the company in 2018.

His most successful period with the promotion came in 2020 when he captured the X-Division Championship at Emergence in August. He held the gold for over 120 days before dropping it to Manik, who later revealed himself as TJP, at Final Resolution in December.

Raju also regularly performs on the independent wrestling scene as Hakim Zane and he recently dropped the AAW Heritage Title to Ace Austin in December.
