Ronda Rousey's Debut Officially Set For ROH TV

Ronda Rousey's ROH debut is official

Ronda Rousey's Ring of Honor debut match has been made official.

The UFC Hall of Famer made a surprise appearance during the ROH TV tapings at Los Angeles' KIA Forum on Friday, November 17 as she teamed with longtime friend Marina Shafir to take on ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Billie Starkz.

Ring of Honor have now announced the match will air on Thursday, November 23. Rousey and Shafir teamed together to face Athena and Billie Starkz at Wrestling REVOLVER Unreal on Thursday, November 16. The match went to a no-contest after Athena attacked Rousey with the ROH Women's World Title belt.

Rousey was believed to have retired after her WWE run came to an end at SummerSlam 2023. Only two weeks after saying she was enjoying retirement, though, Rousey was back in a pro wrestling ring as she teamed with Marina Shafir to defeat Brian Kendrick and Taya Valkyrie in an impromptu match at a Lucha VaVoom event on October 26.

Rousey's ROH future is currently unclear, although Tony Khan noted he would "love" to have her back. Rousey has not signed with AEW/ROH and she is simply working on a handshake deal. The former WWE Raw Women's Champion is not expected to make a full-time return to pro wrestling due to family commitments.
