Ronda Rousey Vs. Charlotte Flair I Quit Match Official For WWE WrestleMania Backlash

For the SmackDown Women's title

The SmackDown Women's title will be on the line at WrestleMania Backlash, as champion Charlotte Flair defends against Ronda Rousey in an I Quit match.

Rousey laid down the challenge for an I Quit match last night on WWE SmackDown. Flair initially refused the challenge, telling Rousey to get to the back of the line. However, WWE made the match official today, with Flair learning the news on Talking Smack.

The two faced off over the title at WrestleMania one week ago in Dallas. Flair ended up retaining her belt, though Rousey did manage to make Flair submit, albeit while the referee was incapacitated. Following the unchecked submission, Flair pinned Rousey with a running boot to the face.

Rousey initially earned the title shot at WrestleMania by winning the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match, which she did from the number 28 spot as a surprise entrant. She eliminated Flair to win the match.

WrestleMania Backlash takes place on Sunday, May 8, at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI. No other matches have been announced as of yet.
