Ronda Rousey Vs. Charlotte Flair Set For WWE WrestleMania 38 Night One

Rowdy vs. Queen set for opening night

WWE have revealed that SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey will clash for the gold on night one of WrestleMania 38.

WWE made the announcement on Twitter, with Flair/Rousey the first match at Mania so far assigned to a specific night.

With Rousey’s involvement, it’s likely that this match will headline night one, with the Title vs. Title match between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns a likely headliner for night two.

Rousey won the opportunity to face Flair at the Royal Rumble, when the ‘Rowdy One’ returned to a WWE ring for the first time in three years, eliminating ‘The Queen’ from the Rumble itself in order to win the match.

The last time Rousey competed at WrestleMania was in the historic main event of WrestleMania 35, where Becky Lynch overcame Rousey and Flair to leave with both Women’s Titles - the first time a women’s match headlined the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’.

This will be the third WrestleMania event split over two nights, with WrestleManias 36 and 37 both taking place over a full weekend.
