Rumour Killer On Potential WWE Signing
A name from the UK wrestling scene will not be signing with WWE right now
During Clash At The Castle weekend, Progress Women’s World Champion and UK scene standout Rhio was part of a selection of wrestlers who were invited to WWE’s Glasgow-based premium live event. This led to some speculation and rumours amongst fans that WWE could be well eyeing up signing the 28 year-old.
Fightful Select have revealed that sources close to Rhio have noted that there was no deal or discussion of something more with WWE at the event, in addition to there being nothing more in terms of communication after Clash At The Castle either. Those in the Rhio camp have stated that Rhio would have been open to a WWE offer and working in the US given that she already has a US visa. NXT sources told Fightful that the focus on the developmental brand right now were high scale signings such as Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia.
When it comes to Rhio, her being invited to the event means that there is some interest, but it looks as though she will not be being brought into the company for the time being at least.
