Ryo Mizunami Returning To AEW

Mizunami is heading back to America

Another Joshi wrestling star is set to return to All Elite Wrestling.

Ryo Mizunami has announced on social media that she will be heading back to AEW, tweeting: "I'm going to the United States to wrestle AEW again. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in America."

Mizunami has made sporadic appearances in AEW since the company's founding in 2019. After competing at the promotion's inaugural show, Double Or Nothing 2019, she returned to AEW ahead of Revolution 2021 and Mizunami unsuccessfully challenged then-champion Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship at the pay-per-view.

Mizunami continued to wrestle in AEW after the pay-per-view, primarily on Dark: Elevation, before she headed back to Japan in April. The 33-year-old became a champion during her latest stint in Japan and she won the SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Title in July.

Mizunami will join up with fellow Joshi wrestlers Hikaru Shida, Emi Sakura, Lulu Pencil, and Riho in All Elite Wrestling. When Mizunami will re-debut on TV is currently unknown.
