Since turning heel at Clash at the Castle 2022, Dominik Mysterio has been met with some of the loudest crowd reactions in all of WWE to the point where it is sometimes difficult to hear what "Dirty Dom" is trying to say during promo segments. That trend continued on the September 11 edition of Monday Night Raw in Norfolk, Virginia although one fan on Twitter/X accused WWE of turning down Dom's microphone to enhance the boos.

This prompted a reply from WWE Raw ring announcer Samantha Irvin, who initially replied: "One week the crowd 'isn't reacting enough' - the next week we get the LOUDEST reactions ever and we mad at production. You know y'all could just ask me instead of looking like bonafide haters just lmk."

Irvin then added: "Norfolk, Virginia EASILY brought the loudest Dom boo’s to date! HILARIOUSLY LOUD. This is exactly what it sounded like in the house & y’all are the most nit-picky era of fans ever. Listening to this audio back, this is what it was like last night. I know you don’t want to believe it, but it was really was. You couldn’t hear a damn thing he said and every time he spoke the crowd was the loudest I ever heard."

She then ended the exchange on Twitter, writing: "I don't care about 'piped in noise,' 'lowered mics' or anything to do with production except the fact that they work their asses off to make split second decisions to ensure the house & at- home audience is entertained & experiences as much as possible. Thank you, though."

It has been common in the past for WWE to pipe in crowd noise or turn down talent's microphones to enhance boos, although that is seemingly not necessary for Dominik Mysterio. The Judgment Day member has split his time between the main roster and NXT in recent months and he remains the reigning NXT North American Champion. Dominik will next defend the title at No Mercy on September 30 when he faces Mustafa Ali.
