The rise of Sami Zayn from Bloodline lackey to arguably the most over act in all of professional wrestling has been an amazing rollercoaster ride, with Zayn and Kevin Owens set to take on Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos at WWE WrestleMania 39 in one of the most anticipated matches of the weekend.
Many fans feel like the match should headline night one of the two-night event, whilst others think WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley could close out the show. When asked if he thought he’d headline, Sami Zayn admitted he doesn’t know, telling Ariel Helwani:
"That remains to be seen. I should (know), that's for sure, but I don't.....we'll see," said Zayn.
Sami continued, noting how no tag match has headlined WrestleMania since 1985:
"It is insane. If we do go on last, which remains to be seen. It would be the first time since WrestleMania 1 and it would be the first tag team title match of all time (to headline). That's something,” remarked Zayn.
WrestleMania 1 saw Hulk Hogan and Mr T team up to take on Roddy Piper and ‘Mr. Wonderful’ Paul Orndorff in Madison Square Garden.
