Sammy Guevara Proposes To Girlfriend Ahead Of AEW: Dynamite
Congratulations to the future Mr and Mrs Spanish God
AEW’s Sammy Guevara proposed to his long-term girlfriend in the middle of the ring before this week’s edition of AEW: Dynamite.
Guevara had a promised a major announcement as Dynamite was broadcast from his home town of Houston, Texas, and during an in-ring segment with Tony Schiavone, called his girlfriend Pam Nizio to the ring, where Guevara dropped to one knee and popped the question.
A snippet of the proposal was broadcast during Dynamite, but AEW subsequently uploaded the full segment onto their social media.
Guevara and Nizio follow in the footsteps of other legitimate wrestling proposals such as John Cena and Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33, Angel Garza after his WWE Cruiserweight Championship triumph in 2019.
Of course the most famous wrestling proposal of all time was that of Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth back at WWE Superstars in July 1991, which was followed by their on-screen ‘wedding’ at SummerSlam 91 in the aptly named ‘match made in Heaven’.
