Sammy Guevara Reveals Scrapped Plans For Him To Be Thrown Off The Top Of Daily's Place At AEW All Out 2020

Sammy Guevara had a wild spot planned for AEW All Out 2020

Sammy Guevara has revealed a major spot was pulled from his Broken Rules Match with Matt Hardy at All Out 2020 that would have seen The Spanish God be thrown off the top of Daily's Place.

After being asked by The Sportster if there was ever a spot he wanted to do that got vetoed, Guevara stated:

"All the time, all the time. Really, the ladder match [on the March 1, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite], people thought it was crazy. I wanted it to be a lot crazier, but due to time constraints and whatnot, we had to cut a lot of stuff. There's one thing in the infamous Sammy Guevara vs. Matt Hardy match at All Out [2020], I was actually going to get thrown off the top of Daily's Place. That's how the match was going to end. Unfortunately, because of the accident that happened early in the match, we had to go straight to a different finish. I want to go back to Daily's Place just to get thrown off of it one day. One day, you know, a guy can dream."

Matt Hardy was knocked unconscious only minutes into the match after he and Guevara fell from the top of a scissor lift through a table, at which point Hardy's head hit the concrete floor below. The match was initially waved off but later continued, with Guevara being thrown off the top of a scaffold for Matt to pick up the win.

The Guevara-Hardy feud would continue until Full Gear 2020, where Hardy won an Elite Deletion Match.
